Hello everyone!! Hope your weekend is going well! My weekend kicked off with a bang at the fabulous No House Rules summer party. For those of you new to No House Rules, it is the brain child of no other than Amy Wilson (@thisstyle_rocks) and Katie Woods (@comedowntothewoods) where they get like minded interiors addicts together in a members club (aka The Mob) and introduce brands to them and host cracking parties!
Yesterdays party was hosted at Katie's fabulous home in a suburb outside Leeds. A gorgeous villa which has been decorated bravely with beautiful bold colours and striking patterns. Katie's taste is eclectic and lush and with her keen eye she has created a bright home filled with whimsy and love which she shares with her husband, kid (aka bin-lids) and a dog!
As we drove up to the beautiful house, we were greeted at he door by the lovely Katie and Amy. The beautiful original red door opens up into a cosy door way lined with starry wallpaper and leads onto the amazing hallway with its own fireplace!! Portobello Road Gin in hand we headed for a nosy around this beautiful house. Each room has its own energy and is uniquely styled. The kids playroom with its vibrant green painted mantle was taken over by BoConcept (from Redbrick Warehouse in Leeds) who created a lovely chill out zone with super comfy chairs, sofas and soft furnishings. The front room (pictured above), with its rich blue walls and sofa housed the TWO goodie bags which were given to each attendant filled to the brim with fantastic products! There was also a raffle giveaway for a whole bunch of fabulous prizes kindly donated by brands. If you want to find out more head over to the NoHouseRules instagram page for the full lowdown! The whole house smelled amazing with Neom candles. Scattered around were chunky knit blankets and cushions hand made from Merino wool by the fabulous Miriam Evans from mizzknits, these were super handy for the outdoor cinema created by AOs outside projector! Wine was flowing form Naked wines and there was even a stand from The Marshmallowist, scrumptious handmade marshmallows with a variety of flavours ready for toasting on the nearby fire pit! In the teepee from Papakata a goodies table with a vast array of goodies from Dunelm and more cosiness from the Christy with their knitted blankets and cushions. You could even help yourself to a delicious sample of the Northern Bloc ice-cream flavours! La Redute took over Katie's walk in wardrobe and hosted a raffle for the chosen charity of the night Simon On The Streets. To top it all off, yummalicious tacos were served by the local Tacoporium, topping off a fabulous night!!
The partying kept on going till the wee hours of the morning (sorry Katie's neighbours), but it was so lovely to meet some amazing new and old friends, some travelling all over the country to get to this party. I had the privilege of taking over the Nohouserules Instagram account for part of the evening so head over to their stories to see my fumbling around on an iPhone, but as an android user all I can say is I tried my best haha!
Hope those photos gave you a sample of the fabulous space! So goodie bags in tow and a slight hangover I carted myself over the Pennines back to Manchester where I am just sat snuggled on the sofa with a cup of tea (no more wine for a while). Over and Out!!
Hope everyone is well! I just wanted to jump on here and tell you all about the event I was so graciously invited to last week. This was the AlCapone watch launch which my newly befriended norther blogger, Mr. Luke Christian invited me to.
A quick word about the talented Luke! We first met on Instagram a few months ago and have been trying to plan a day of blogging for a while but our diaries are as mad as a box of frogs so when this launch date came up and we were both free it was a pleasure to finally meet the man in person! He is interested in grooming and lifestyle, both also interests of mine, but he has an added string to his bow. He is deaf and it was really great to discuss the virtues and differences that he faced on the blogging sphere and on social media in general. He has some great ideas and plans coming up, so head over to his website/instagram for more info on him and his work.
The AlCapone watch launch was held at the stunning Grand Pacific restaurant and bar in Manchester. It was originally built as the Reform Club for the Liberal Party Elite back in 1871. It was the perfect scene for a 1920s vibe launch party. For those of you who have never been, let me set the scene! There is a grand swooping staircase when you arrive lined in dark tropical wallpaper which leads you up to an impressive light installation with loads of foliage and birdcages housing Edison bulbs and a bright reception room lined with magnificent palms and cosy seating areas.
We were immediately ushered trough the grand dining room, where a jazz singer in a gorgeous red dress was singing some glorious classics which with the welcome glass of fizz and the massive brass palm leaf chandeliers hanging overhead added to the glamour of the evening. At the back we met the designer MickeyC of Paccioni who spoke to us about the watch and its inspiration. He said that one day he was called by an auctioneer friend of his in the states who had heard about the sale of the original pocket-watch that belonged to the most infamous gangster of all Mr. Al Capone. Mickey told us how the unique shape of the watch, being triangular was the inspiration for producing his new range.
Different watch faces can be chosen from chrome or gold with or without sparkle in two different sizes, all with a pearlescent back. Interchangeable leather straps are available with the watch. The range available was black, brown, pale grey and electric blue. I chose a large gold face with a brown main strap and a blue strap to change to for when I want to mix things up!

Yesterday evening I was very happy to be invited to Housing Units, the mega furniture store in the North West. A bunch of local bloggers and online influences were invited after shop opening hours to the emporium for a private tour of one of their showrooms (Did you know they had three separate buildings on the same site with goodies?) and to have a sneaky peak at their fabulous Christmas world. Initially I was thinking this was quite early for a shop to have their festive launch, but apparently Selfridges opened theirs in AUGUST!!!
We had a tour around the massive store when it was closed to the public (quite eerie and surreal) and saw some lovely pieces (pictured above) which are on sale at the moment! And if you want an extra 10% off till Monday, you can enter the coupon code "Exclusive10" at your online check out for an extra 10% off!. This is the lowest price you will ever be able to get off at Housing Units so head to their website for a nosy! Here are some of my favourites from their website!
We then moved onto their main event! The Christmas zone! We were escorted through a secret back door into this marvellous world of sparkle and magic! A massive variety of Christmas decorations lay ahead of us. More than anyone could ever wish for when creating that special Christmas look! Trees, wreathes, garlands, a million different types of baubles and tree decorations, light and lasers and even a selfie booth nearby some talking Reindeer!! Words cant really do this justice so have a look below at the snaps!
As you can tell, I have a secret area of my heart that is reserved for some Christmas Sparkle! There is such an array of decorations, ranging from the classic to the modern and veering off into the odd and quite bizzare. All of which can be curated to create a fabulous look! Look at that wicked unicorn tree!!! Who would have thought! Do you think I could sneak that into the house without Sam noticing?
So if this post has made you feel festive, head on down to Housing Units in North Manchester or have a look at their website (remember to use the coupon code), and have a jolly good time! The Christmas zone is open to the public from today and the sale is on NOW!
Is it too early for me to put up my tree? NO? didnt think so!
This is NOT an AD, all work and photos are my own unless otherwise specified.
