The interior architectural design and furnishing of a penthouse apartment in a converted former fabric mill. Remagined as a fun and exciting escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Our clients, two busy executives, wanted an apartment that reflected their eclectic styles and love of travel, adventure, music, cinema and literature. They wanted us to help them use colour bravely and maximise the use of space. From the outset, the design ethos centred on creating a seamless dialogue between interior and the architecture of the mill and a key form was the half bullnose profile found on all the window details and staircases - this created a red thread throughout the design allowing the forms to feel cohesive. The result is a modern home where the unexpected seems like the obvious solution, making guests and inhabitants enjoy the exploration.
