In the heart of the thriving neighbourhood of Ancoats, sits our client's apartment. He wanted an oasis he could call his home where he was surrounded by his treasures and collected items. We designed this living room with his Sudanese sofas in mind, creating a sociable conversational space to enjoy.

We sourced an Indian dowry chest to sit under our client's artwork to create extra storage and also add as a focal point for the living room. Behind the sofa, a hand carved Indian screen was used to section off a part of the space, creating a calm separate working zone.

In the dining room, we wanted to celebrate our client's love for casual entertaining so we sourced a large table flanked by two waxed fabric benches. We used a dark plum colour on the walls and a dramatic light installation above the table to make the space intimate and inviting.

We carried through the same colour palette into the kitchen. Using earthy neutrals and textures to soften the space and make it feel cohesive with the rest of the scheme.

In the master bedroom we went for an airy minimalist look, celebrating the beautiful exposed beams and brickwork with simple streamlined lighting and furniture.
